General instructions for the trip with the Poseidon

  • All passengers must follow the instructions of the ship's personnel.
  • The ship's personnel may exclude passengers from continuing their journey if, for example, it serves the general safety on the ship or if no valid ticket is available.
  • Each passenger is responsible for disembarking. If someone wants to disembark beforehand, the intention must be communicated to the ship's personnel in time (before reaching the station).
  • Our fares are senior and child friendly for scheduled trips. Please inform yourself in time at our advance booking offices (from Good Friday until the end of October we operate in the Bonner Personenschiffahrt Linie network. Advance booking offices are those, of the Bonner Personenschiffahrt).
  • Tickets can be purchased at the designated advance ticket offices or on our ship.
  • Tickets must be paid for in cash on the ship.
  • Card payment is possible at our ship's restaurant Poseidon (only possible downstairs at the counter after consultation with the service).
  • All closed rooms on the ship are subject to the strictest non-smoking regulations. Only on our middle deck smoking is allowed outside.
  • During the cruise our ship's catering Poseidon offers food and drinks. There is no obligation to eat. Food and beverages brought on board may not be consumed.
  • During the cruise you will learn more about the landscape you are passing. The standard language is German. English is also possible on request. If for any reason the announcements do not take place, there is no right to reimbursement. There are no landscape explanations on rides with music.
  • People with disabilities are welcome to join us. However, they should make sure that if necessary they have people with them who can help them, so that constant care is guaranteed. Our ship is partially wheelchair friendly. We have a sanitary facility that can be reached at ground level. There is no elevator to the outside (upstairs), and it is not possible to get fresh air downstairs.
  • Not all stations are wheelchair/rollator friendly. Please find out about the station where you want to board before you start your journey.
  • You should be able to manage getting on and off the train yourself. Our staff will be happy to assist if possible (unless a regulation prohibits it e.g. Corona regulation). However, it should be in proportion and the staff can decide for themselves whether it is possible for them to help or not. There is no right to help!
  • Due to unforeseeable events (force majeure) routes may change or delays may occur. We do not assume any liability for this.
  • W-lan: There is no claim for damages in case of non-functioning or bad signal. We assume no guarantee and liability for the use.
